Hey, I’m Cristina but my friends call me Cris. Welcome to Cook It Fit – a healthy recipe blog featuring delicious and simple recipes & running motivation (Oh yeah, I have a genuine LOVE for running!). For the past year and a half, I’ve shared mostly plant-based, energizing recipes that I enjoy on a daily basis. My goal is to inspire you to embrace more plant-based foods in your diet as well as to find motivation to exercise even when you just don’t feel like getting off your butt (maybe to take up running?).
Why running? I strongly believe that running is an excellent sport for people as they get older as it keeps you fit and trim and it also provides significant benefits which can offset the effects of ageing.
Back in 2011, I decided to learn more about how I could get healthier (I barely knew how to boil an egg, really!), therefore I followed a course about nutrition & fitness at the Romanian Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness in Bucharest (I am one of those vampires with a soul :-).
As my relationship with food improved and seeing positive changes in myself over the past couple of years, on June 4th 2014 I started Cook It Fit to write about my recovery from an eating disorder, my journey to health as I get older (oops, I am 35), and the amazing transformation that real food and exercising on a regular basis can make in our lives.
I don’t have a food background, so everything you see on this blog is a result of hard work and self-taught skill. I taught myself how to basically cook (create recipes too!) and then photograph my creations. It’s been an adventure and I love every second of it!
