No Added Sugar Watermelon Mint Lemonade

August 13, 2015 by Cris 13 Comments

This sparkling watermelon mint lemonade with lime only – no added sugar whatsoever (NO stevia, NO honey, NO maple syrup, NO SUGAR, I mean nothing at all)  – is my favorite new way of celebrating summer and keep ourselves in shape.

No Added Sugar Watermelon Mint Lemonade
Summer season is officially here! Here we are in high summer – at least it has been for the past two days in Düsseldorf (oooooh believe me, that’s progress) – and watermelon lemonade seems to be the perfect lazy kinda refreshment. As watermelon won’t be here much longer, I had to think of another way (apart from eating it on its own) to use it before it goes.

I will be honest with you, it was pretty darn easy to come up with this different idea as the Internet has plenty of watermelon lemonade recipes. About 1 million of them. And most of them (if not all of them) with all kind of added sugar or artificial sweeteners included.

My different watermelon mint lemonade recipe is very easy and simple to prepare too. You need a seedless watermelon, fresh mint leaves, a few limes and fizzy water. And NO added sugar whatsoever (All I ask from you is that you give it a try. Don’t kill the healthy part, please!)….

Strawberry & Celery Smoothie Juice

May 14, 2015 by Cris 17 Comments

Ready for a youthful glow? Read how easy it is to make this for yourself at home – smoothie juice that features celery, apple, strawberries and a touch of mint & ginger.

Strawberry & Celery Smoothie Juice
Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a wonderful week. I’m finally enjoying some much-needed fresh juices at home after a few days of eating out for pretty much every meal. Blame the mixer for that … :)))) By the way, my finger feels so much better. Thank you so much for your concern and all the love! I’m so fortunate to have you guys!

Now back to my strawberry & celery smoothie juice, let me tell you why I called it this way in the first place. Well, the first time I read about a Smoothie Juice recipe was on The Fitnessista website. I am sure you all know Gina by now, right?! What I love about Gina is her candidly writing style about injuries, workouts and nutrition plans. Go ahead and check her out, but only after you read the rest of my article. :))…

Banana-Pomegranate Yoghurt Smoothie

January 22, 2015 by Cris 8 Comments

A humble but delicious and healthy smoothie that highlights pomegranate, yoghurt and banana. I am definitely a pomegranate maniac this month. Hooray!

 Banana-Pomegranate Yoghurt Smoothie
I guess everyone already knows how much I love yoghurt. Maybe it’s because I was fortunate to live in Greece for a while where any yogurt is HEAVEN on earth, or maybe I am aware of all its health benefits, but the true is that especially Greek yoghurt it’s the one item from my pantry I could never give up. NEVER!

So imagine how happy I was when the guys from Chobani asked me a few days back if I would still be interested in participating in their new #MadeWithChobani project. I said “still” as I currently live in Germany and their yoghurt is not available here yet….
