Happy Monday everyone! 🙂 How’s your day going on? First off, I have a semi-confession to make – I said ‘semi’ as I’ve already mentioned it on a few social media platforms – I’m training for my FIRST full marathon, which means 42.195 km (the official distance).
Ta-dah! Now, it’s OFFICIAL! 🙂
Say that again??? Taaaaa – daaaaah! :)) There, I’ve said it again – I’m registered for the METRO GROUP Marathon Düsseldorf 2016.
Wait! That’s not all. Now the BOMB is that I’m planning to do a few full marathons next year, and closing the year with my first ULTRA. Yay!
Do I know what I am doing??? Hell, YES! 🙂 I’m well aware that it’s going to be a BIG challenge and an extraordinary trip pushing myself beyond the comfort zone. And not to worry, I do have a marathon training plan all mapped out for the next 6 months.
Anyway, going back to running motivation ….
Today I give you another piece of my mind – Surround yourself with people who inspire possibility. I strongly believe that the only thing that limits possibility now is imagination. And that’s no longer a cliché.
There is this quote that I absolutely love – “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
Show me how you #Run every day of the week by sharing a photo with you while running (or after the run) on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Google + and see your pic here (not kidding, I will post it next Monday!).
P.S. Are you also training for a race right now? Which one? 🙂
Now off running & be happy!
You should make some Youtube videos. 😀
Hi, Eva! 🙂 My boyfriend keeps telling me the same thing. I guess I should get my head around this topic. And soon! :)) Thanks a lot for the suggestion. Wish you a lovely evening! 🙂 Te pup
Good luck with that! Respect, really! 🙂
Thank you so much, Peter! 🙂
Wow, an ultramarathon, really?? That’s amazing! Hope the training goes perfectly. Have you read the Cool Impossible by Eric Orton? He’s the coach from Born to Run. You probably know that already 😉
Thanks, Dave! 🙂 I really hope it works, otherwise I need to come up with plan B. :)) There is always a way, right?! Now, about the book, to tell you the truth, I haven’t read it yet. However, it’s on the list. 🙂 P.S. I absolutely loved Born to Run, so much that I read it twice.
