Ready for a youthful glow? Read how easy it is to make this for yourself at home – smoothie juice that features celery, apple, strawberries and a touch of mint & ginger.
Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a wonderful week. I’m finally enjoying some much-needed fresh juices at home after a few days of eating out for pretty much every meal. Blame the mixer for that … :)))) By the way, my finger feels so much better. Thank you so much for your concern and all the love! I’m so fortunate to have you guys!
Now back to my strawberry & celery smoothie juice, let me tell you why I called it this way in the first place. Well, the first time I read about a Smoothie Juice recipe was on The Fitnessista website. I am sure you all know Gina by now, right?! What I love about Gina is her candidly writing style about injuries, workouts and nutrition plans. Go ahead and check her out, but only after you read the rest of my article. :))
So Gina mentioned at some point in one of her posts that “the major difference between smoothies and juices is that juicing removes the fiber from the fruits and veggies”. I mean she’s got a point, you will still get the nutrition and all that, but you’re definitely going to miss out on the benefits of the fiber.
So today I decided to combine celery with apple, strawberries, a few leaves of mint, a touch of ginger, 1 cup of still water and 6 ice cubes. While the taste was pleasant and kind of pinkie (love this color), the texture needed a straw or a teaspoon. So make sute you don’t waste anything. Yesterday I had red beets, grapefruit, lemon and a touch of ginger. Thank you so much Miriana for the inspiration. I loved it! :)
This strawberry & celery smoothie juice has a tangy taste but also has a bit of saltiness from the celery – a great drink in the morning or an afternoon pick-me-up. Oh believe, you don’t need at least a few hours any meal, it’s that satisfying.
C’mon! Just look at this beautiful bright pink color … so awesome, right?! :)
- - 2 celery stalks
- - 1 apple
- - 15 strawberries
- - 5 fresh leaves of mint
- - ½ tsp ginger, peeled
- - 1 cup of cold still water
- - 6 ice cubes (or as many as you wish)
- Wash very well all the ingredients and remember to core your apple as you don't want to juice the seeds or stem. Make sure to slice off the ends of the celery and strawberries too.
- Add all the ingredients and one cup of water into the blender and blend them for a few seconds. Et Voilà - ready to be served in a matter of minutes. Enjoy it!
