Hello, everyone! I hope life is good wherever you are. I’ve only yesterday realized that my latest post about New Year’s Resolution is kind of incomplete – I mean I didn’t mention anything about the fitness side.
But I promise I’ll explain it all to you, so bear with me.
In the last year’s resolution post I was mentioning why I personally don’t believe in any diet trends – find out more here My 5 Tips to Stick with a Healthy New Year’s Resolution. Most of these diets basically promise you to lose weight in a very short time, gain energy and fix all of your health issues. You say AWESOME?
I prefer ‘Fuck this bullshit’!!!
It shouldn’t be about fast results people – the fact that you want to lose a few pounds by spring or even worse that you wanna fit into your old pair of jeans – it should rather be about your JOURNEY that teaches you a lot about yourself and your destination.
Just think about how many times have you abandoned your new year’s resolution? And very quickly too, right?! It does make sense as the majority of us choose isolating goals for ourselves. As I said a bit earlier, I’ve heard way too many times the following sentences “I want to lose 5 pounds this year”. “I’d like to drop only 3 dress sizes”. “Wouldn’t be nice if I could fit again into those sexy jeans?” š
Honestly, I think you are the sexy one.
Studies show that one in three people give up on their New Year’s resolutions by the end of January. And only 45 percent of people continue their resolution past the six-month mark.
So most weight-loss goals aren’t successful, no matter what time of the year they’re established. Depending on which study you read, somewhere between 60 and 90 percent of people who lose weight gain it all back eventually.
Now, my recommendation to succeed in this year’s resolution – the secret ingredient – is the CHANGE you gotta do in your attitude, one that says ‘Get your shit together bitch’ or ‘Go hard or go home’. You get the idea, right?! A little pain won’t kill you, so stop being afraid of pushing through the pain. Push your limits starting with today! š
It should be about the journey of being better at whatever it is that you do – a better version of yourself.
And instead of comparing yourself with others – for God’s sake stop doing it – better find like-minded friends who just LOVE to challenge you, who will pick you up when you are about to fall, laugh with/about you when you MESS up, listen to you when you need to complain and stick with you along the way!
There is nothing more beautiful than enjoying the journey in finding the inner strength alongside friends!AND because sometimes we all need a little motivation, here is Joe Rogan Workout Motivation’ video.
In the meanwhile I’ll keep you updated on my journey and hopefully I’ll get your butt out the door too.
TO BE CONTINUED …
Stay healthy & be happy!
Xoxo Cris

You go girl! š Awesome post.
Thanks, Chris! š I kind of expected your comment. š By the way, Happy New Year!
hahaaa, I never saw you swearing in any of your other blog posts. This topic seems to be important to you!
Yep, I’m with you. on this one. I do believe setting time frames can bring results. But it doesn’t mean you always have to wait til the new year to start over š
Ha ha! :)) You got me, Howie! It’s indeed a very sensitive topic. Maybe I should write more on that. And you’re totally right, one doesn’t have to wait until January to re-start himself but unfortunately most people do.
Great tips! Happy New Year š I’m inspired to get out there and get some work done now! xoxoxo
